Finding things

Search across the whole project, mark scenes so they can be found later, and get back anything you cut.

Scene status, POV and keywords #

Every scene can carry a status — Outline, First draft, Revised or Final — a POV or tag, and any keywords you like. Status and flags show as a colored dot on the node, so the state of a section is visible without opening anything.

These are what the search filters read. Marking scenes as you go is what makes “every unrevised scene in Nora's POV” a question you can actually ask.

An outline with scenes tinted in different colors by chapter, POV names filled into the tag fields, making the structure scannable at a glance.
POV filled in, and color carrying whatever meaning you chose.

The scrap pile #

Nothing you delete is destroyed. Scenes, chapters and acts removed from the outline go to the Scrap Pile, along with entity blocks and anything else you cut, and can be restored from there.

That is what makes cutting bearable: you can take a paragraph out to see whether the chapter is better without it, knowing you can put it back in a month when it turns out you were wrong.
